HonorTech to launch X9b smartphone with 'Ultra Bounce Display' and 'Airbag' technology on THIS date

HonorTech has officially announced the imminent launch of the Honor X9b in the Indian market, scheduled for February 15. The smartphone, already available in select global markets, is anticipated to maintain similar specifications as its international counterpart, albeit with a few regional variations.

A recent appearance on an Indian e-commerce site provided crucial insights into the upcoming model, including color options, RAM configurations, and storage choices. Prior leaks also hinted at the pricing details and launch specifics, heightening the anticipation surrounding the device.

In an official post on social media platform X, HonorTech disclosed that the Honor X9b would introduce “India’s first ultra bounce display” featuring innovative ‘Airbag’ technology.

The global listing of the handset highlights SGS-certified “360-degree whole-device protection,” with the Honor ultra-bounce anti-drop display boasting a three-level protection system for the screen, frame, and internal components.

The Honor X9b briefly made an appearance on Amazon India, revealing potential configurations such as a 12GB + 256GB variant in a striking Sunrise Orange hue.

The listing also suggested the availability of a bundle option, including Honor Choice Earbuds X5e, along with 12 months of screen and back cover protection, and a 24-month battery health warranty.

Previous leaks hinted at a competitive pricing strategy, placing the Honor X9b below Rs. 35,000, especially when bundled with the Honor Choice X5 True Wireless Earbuds.

As a standalone purchase, the smartphone is expected to be priced between Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 30,000, with potential bank offers bringing the effective cost down to Rs. 23,999.

Spec-wise, the Honor X9b is rumored to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset, accompanied by up to 12GB of RAM and running on the Android 13-based MagicOS 7.2.

In global markets, the device sports a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display and a powerful 108MP triple rear camera setup, complemented by a 5,800mAh battery with 35W wired fast charging support.

The front camera boasts a 16MP sensor, while the phone offers a unique blend of cutting-edge features, making its impending Indian launch highly anticipated.
