IDF captures Hamas government buildings in Gaza City
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has said that it has captured multiple Hamas governmental buildings in the neighbourhoods of Gaza City.
Troops of the 7th Armored Brigade and Golani Infantry Brigade have seized Hamas’ parliament, its government complex and the police headquarters.
The IDF added that it had also captured the so-called governor’s house in Gaza that housed Hamas offices for its military wing and police. Apart from this, soldiers also took control of Hamas’ intelligence offices and sites that were used to prepare for the October 7 onslaught.

The troops also captured the Gazan University’s engineering faculty building that “served as an institute for the production and development of weapons.”
Earlier today, pictures shared on social media showed Israeli soldiers inside the Gaza parliament building and military police headquarters with the national flag.
Meanwhile, Hamas and Hezbollah terrorists on Tuesday launched a rocket attack on the Israeli city of Ashkelon.
Apart from Ashkelon, other parts of southern Israel were also hit. According to Israel War Room, three rockets were fired in Ashkelon, hitting a residential building.
Meanwhile, as the exchange of fire continued on the northern border, Hezbollah terrorists fired several anti-missile tanks at Israel inviting counterattacks from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
