Internet is All Hearts For Sonu Nigam After He Washes Asha Bhosle’s Feet And Kiss Them With Respect – WATCH

Sonu Nigam showed respect by washing renowned singer Asha Bhosle’s feet at a book launch. The veteran singer’s biography Swarswamini Asha was introduced on Friday at an event attended by several celebrities. In a video shared by news agency ANI posted on X (formerly known as Twitter), Nigam sat close to Asha Bhosle’s feet to wash her feet. People around him helped with the water, a thali, and a towel.

Asha Bhosle hid her face and giggled after Sonu kissed her feet. She then held her saree as he soaked her feet. Additionally, the ‘Papa Meri Jaan‘ singer dried Asha’s feet. He bowed to Asha and folded his hands, staring at her, before leaving the stage. The veteran singer was dressed in a patterned white saree, and Sonu wore a yellow kurta and white pyjamas. Asha and her late sister Lata Mangeshkar were honoured by Sonu in her address for their contributions to Indian music.

Sonu Nigam’s video of washing Asha Bhoshle’s feet went viral on social media. Netizens dropped hearts and heart-eye emojis in the comment section. One of the users wrote, “This is beautiful. So quintessentially Indian. Such are the things that make us proud to be Indians.” Another user wrote, “Worshipping and offering reverence to the Goddess Saraswati in her.” The third user said, “Kya baat hai. True Sanatani Sanskar!! Garv Hai.”

In addition, Sonu Nigam paid tribute to her late sister, the late playback singer Lata Mangeshkar, in a moving eulogy for Asha Bhosle. He recognized the contributions each of them had made to Indian music.

The biography, which is an anthology of 90 writers’ writings, seems to be a delight for Asha’s followers. According to reports, it has unique photos that highlight the singer’s development as an artist. Mohan Bhagwat talked about the commitment of the Mangeshkar family to music and nationalism. Jackie Shroff touched Asha’s feet and gave her a flower pot as a sign of respect. Hridaynath Mangeshkar, her brother, was also present at the event.

On the work front, Sonu Nigam delivered a song for Junaid Khan’s feature film debut, Maharaj. The devotional song from the film Achutham Keshavam was crooned by the vocalist.
