Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) completed a double over Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) this Indian Premier League (IPL) season, after they clinched a 21-run win at the Chinnaswamy Stadium on Wednesday.

RCB had won the toss and opted to field first in Bengaluru, but knocks from Jason Roy (56) and skipper Nitish Rana (48) led KKR to 200/5 from 20 overs.
In reply, Virat Kohli’s 54 and Mahipal Lomror’s 34 were just not enough for RCB as they suffereda batting collapse in the second half of the chase. The hosts were eventually restricted to 179/8.
KKR rose one place to seventh with just their third win of the season, while RCB remained fifth despite their fourth defeat of the season.
Chennai Super Kings lead the points table following their win over Kolkata Knight Riders on Sunday.
Four teams are tied on eight points after the RCB-KKR match in Bengaluru, with Chennai Super Kings, Gujarat Titans, Rajasthan Royals and Lucknow Super Giants currently occupying the playoff spots.
KKR and MI are now level on the same points (Six).

List of Orange Cap and Purple Cap holders
RCB’s Faf du Plessis became the first batter to cross the 400-run mark during his 39-ball 62 against RR. Sitting firmly as the highest scorer this season, RCB skipper has scored five half centuries to tally 422 runs. Du Plessis’ RCB teammate Virat Kohli brought up his fifth half-century of the season on Wednesday to go second with 333 runs. CSK’s Devon Conway is third with 314 runs.
RCB pacer Mohammed Siraj retained the Purple Cap after GT spinner Rashid Khan had briefly owned it on Tuesday. Siraj finished with figures of 1/33 against KKR and took his tally to 14 wickets, same as Rashid Khan in second place. KKR’s Varun Chakaravarthy picked three wickets on Wednesday and he is third with 13 scalps.
