IPL 2023 Points Table, Orange and Purple Cap list: RR go top with DC's humbling who remain winless
Rajasthan Royals (RR) leapfrogged Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the top of the Indian Premier League (IPL) standings following their convincing 57-run win over Delhi Capitals (DC) in Guwahati on Saturday.

DC, meanwhile, are second from bottom having suffered their third consecutive defeat in the league this season. They’re only better off than Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), also winless, who have a significantly inferior net run rate due to their 72 run defeat vs RR and by 5 wickets vs LSG.
Gujarat Titans (GT) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) are the only teams to have a hundred per cent start to the 16th season that got underway on 31 March and occupy the third and fourth spots respectively.
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have all won a game each from two matches played and have two points.
Besides SRH and DC, five-time champions Mumbai Indians (MI) are the only other team to not have won a single game so far.

List of Orange Cap and Purple Cap holders
Delhi Capitals’s David Warner (158 runs) is the current holder of the Orange Cap. He wrestled the cap from Rajasthan Royals opener Jos Buttler (152 runs) during their clash in Guwahati. On the podium for most runs is Chennai Super Kings’ Ruturaj Gaikwad (149 runs).
Rajasthan Royals spinner Yuzvendra Chahal took three wickets against Delhi Capitals to go level with Lucknow Super Giants pacer Mark Wood on 8 wickets. Fellow LSG player Ravi Bishnoi is third with six wickets.
