DC, meanwhile, are second from bottom having suffered their third consecutive defeat in the league this season. They’re only better off than Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), also winless, who have a significantly inferior net run rate due to their 72 run defeat vs RR and by 5 wickets vs LSG.

Gujarat Titans (GT) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) are the only teams to have a hundred per cent start to the 16th season that got underway on 31 March and occupy the third and fourth spots respectively.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have all won a game each from two matches played and have two points.

Besides SRH and DC, five-time champions Mumbai Indians (MI) are the only other team to not have won a single game so far.
