IPL 2024: Harshal Patel Reveals Why He Didn’t Celebrate Much After Picking MS Dhoni’s Wicket

New Delhi: Punjab Kings pacer Harshal Patel got MS Dhoni out on a duck in the ongoing Indian Premier League 2024 match against Chennai Super Kings at HPCA Stadium in Dharamshala. He was not seen celebrating much after getting MS Dhoni’s wicket in the ongoing match.

This is the first time in the ongoing season of IPL that MS Dhoni got out and the unlucky former CSK skipper got out on a duck. but the bowler Harshal didn’t celebrate his wicket.

“Wicket was on drier side. I have too much respect for him to celebrate when I get him out (on Dhoni). One of the advantages of playing a day game is that the square is quite rough. So the ball starts reversing. In my first over it was reversing. It’s all about the feel of that delivery (slower one). More you bowl the better you get. Most batters don’t pick it. Have been practicing in the nets, and when it comes out it gives you great results” said Harshal Patel during mid-innings.

Punjab Kings (PBKS) duo Harshal Patel and Rahul Chahar took a three-wicket haul each to restrict Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at 167/9 in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 match at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium on Sunday.\

After winning the toss, Sam Curran-led Punjab Kings won the toss and decided to bowl first. Their decision did go in their favour as they picked up quick wickets in the first inning and put pressure on the CSK.
