Tel Aviv: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu extended his condolences on the passing of Ratan Tata, the previous chairperson of the Tata Group. In a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday, Netanyahu addressed Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, emphasizing Tata’s immense contributions to India’s development and his pivotal role in strengthening ties between Israel and India. Netanyahu conveyed his sympathies to Tata’s family and praised the industrialist’s enduring legacy.

Netanyahu wrote, “I and reasonably a lot of in Israel mourn the inability of Ratan Naval Tata, a proud son of India and a champion of the friendship between our two countries.”

Ratan Tata passed away on October 9, 2024, at the age of 86, following treatment at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Clinic. His funeral, held in Mumbai with full state honours, marked the tip of a distinguished life dedicated to global industry, philanthropy, and the betterment of society. Tata’s immense contributions to India’s industrial growth, his leadership of the Tata Group, and his philanthropic initiatives left a long-lasting legacy no longer just in India but across the arena.
