J&K: 18 people, mostly students, injured after bus falls into gorge in Udhampur district
New Delhi: At least 18 people, mostly students, were injured after a mini bus they were travelling in skidded off the road and fell into a gorge near Massora in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday.

According to the reports, the bus was enroute to Udhampur from Barmeen village. The incident created a lot of panic in the area and a large number of people gathered at the accident site, some of them even volunteering in the rescue operations.

Officials said that the 18 injured people, including 11 students, were rushed to the Udhampur district hospital for treatment.
The condition of many of the injured people is serious and one of them, Ashok Kumar (50) of Barmeen, was referred to the Government Medical College (GMC) hospital in Jammu for specialised treatment, they said.
