Netflix’s recently released survival drama series ‘Kaala Paani‘ is back with its second season. With the makers’ announcement to renew the series for its season, fans can’t contain their excitement, and rightly so! The first season of the series featured talented stars including Mona Singh, Ashutosh Gowariker, Amey Wagh, Sukant Goel, Vikas Kumar, Arushi Sharma, Radhika Mehrotra, Chinmay Mandlekar, and Poornima Indrajith.
On Monday, the OTT giant Netflix dropped a post on its X handle to announce the second season of the show and wrote, “The dark waters are ready to take over once again! Kaala Paani Season 2 Coming Soon, only on Netflix!” The fascinating clip displays a few glimpses from the first season of the show with a background voice that can be heard saying, “Andaman Nicobar. Nature’s wonder surrounded by water that we humans have turned into Kaala Paani. And now, all of us are trapped here. But your love is like a life boat for us. How can we lose hope when we have all of you on our side. We can’t. That’s why we are coming back. Please wait for us. We will definitely meet you again 100%.”
The fascinating announcement has left fans waiting for more updates as they flocked to the comment section to express their excitement. A fan wrote, “Wow that’s a great news. Can’t wait for it.” Another urged, “Make it before my 1yr subscription complete.” Another fan expressed, “Best show of this year can’t wait fr 2nd season… diwali ka gift mil gya.. thank you.”
It is worth mentioning that Kaala Paani’s first season premiered on Netflix this October. It’s official description reads, “When a mysterious illness descends upon the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, a desperate fight for survival collides with a race to find a cure.”
The survival thriller received a positive reaction upon its release with fans and critics, both heaping praises on the series for its unique plot. The first season consisted of seven episodes and revolved around the tragic incidents that unfold after the menace of infectious water slowly starts engulfing Port Blair.
