Kalki 2898 AD Box Office Collection Day 2: Sci-Fi Film Crosses Entire Lifetime Earnings Of Prabhas’ ‘Radhe Shyam’ on First Friday – Check Report

Kalki 2898 AD, Nag Ashwin’s epic science-fiction dystopia made history by being the first domestically released Indian film to have the biggest opening ever on Thursday. Sacnilk, however, reports that the Prabhas and Deepika Padukone film had a sharp decline of more than 50% on Friday. The sci-fi film made Rs 54 crore on the second day, Friday after earning Rs 94 crore on the first day. The fact that Friday is a working day may be the main cause of this decline, but maybe the movie will do better during the weekend.

After declining by more than 50% from the first day, Kalki 2898 AD brought in Rs 54 crore on Day 2 in India. As with the previous day, the language-wise distribution of the Day 2 collection has not yet been determined, although the Telugu version of Kalki 2898 AD is probably the most likely to have fared well, followed by the Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam belts.

Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD vs Radhe Shyam

The total amount of money Prabhas’s Kalki 2898 AD has made at the box office surpasses that of his disastrous film Radhe Shyam, which made 103 crore in India throughout its run. The film minted Rs 100.93 crore within the first week of its release. Radhe Shyam, however, declined significantly after that. The film earned Rs 62 lakhs (day eight), Rs 5 lakhs (day nine), Rs 52 lakhs (day ten), Rs 25 lakhs (day eleven) and Rs 2 lakhs (day twelve) in the following week.

Prabhas and Pooja Hegde played the lead roles in Radhe Shyam, with supporting performances from Bhagyashree, Kunaal Roy Kapur, Sathyaraj, Jagapathi Babu, Krishnam Raju, Sachin Khedekar, Murali Sharma, and Jayaram. With a budget of Rs 300 crore, it was reportedly the most costly Telugu film made to that moment.

Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Disha Patani, Saswata Chatterjee, and Shobhana are among the notable cast members in Kalki 2898 AD. In the film, Amitabh plays the Immortal Ashwatthama, while Prabhas and Deepika depict Bhairava and Sumati, respectively. The primary antagonist Yaskin, played by Kamal Haasan, is anticipated to have a longer storyline in the film’s sequel.

Kalki 2898 AD, the big-budget movie, which is produced by Vyjayanthi Movies and was released on Thursday in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, and English, is billed as a mashup of the Hindu epic Mahabharata with science fiction. Nag Ashwin, who won praise for his critically praised historical drama Mahanati in 2018, is the film’s director.
