Kangana Ranaut Compares Herself to Amitabh Bachchan During Election Rally: ‘Big B Ke Baad Mujhe Sammaan Milta Hai’

Kangana Ranaut has once again made headlines with her statements. The actor is considered one of the most outspoken and opinionated personalities in the industry. After Bollywood, Kangana is trying her luck in politics and has been fielded by the Bhartiya Janta Party from Mandi. With phases of voting going on, Kangana recently in one of her rallies claimed and compared her influence to that of Amitabh Bachchan.

A short clip from her speech is doing rounds on the internet. The actor-turned-politician can be heard saying, “Sara desh hairaan hai, ke wo Kangana, chahe Rajasthan chali jau, chahe mai West Bengal chali jau, chahe mai Delhi chali jau, chahe mai Manipur chali jau, aisa lagta hai ki mano itna pyaar aur itna sammaan, mai dave se keh sakti hu ke Amitabh Bachchan ji ke baad aaj kisko industry me milta hai to wo mujhe milta hai. (The whole country is surprised that whether I go to Rajasthan, whether I go to West Bengal, whether I go to Delhi, whether I go to Manipur, it feels like there is so much love and respect, I can confidently say that after Amitabh Bachchan ji, who gets such love and respect in the industry, I get it.)

A couple of weeks ago, Kangana revealed that her decision to venture into politics was not influenced by the poor box-office performance of her recent movies. The actor said that ups and downs at the box office are a part of the film industry. She cited the example of Shah Rukh Khan’s career graph and compared it to herself. Ranaut also pointed out that stars are getting more opportunities on OTT platforms. 

Meanwhile, Kangana is known for her fierce comments. She often takes a jibe against celebs in the industry, whether it is Hrithik Roshan or Alia Bhatt. Her conflict with the Fighter star, Hrithik Roshan, was widely covered in the media, and she frequently criticized him in her interviews.

On the Professional front, Kangana will be next seen in Emergency. The movie is based on the former Prime Minister of India, the late Indira Gandhi.
