Tom Hartley joins Pope at the centre after the dismissal, and he sure can hit the ball big, as he did in his cameo on Day 1. Seven off the following over by Jadeja, with Hartley and Pope collecting two singles each before the latter runs the ball towards third man, getting enough time for a third as Iyer gives the ball a chase and saves a run.

“We are not looking at any particular target (to chase) as I said the objective is to come tomorrow morning and get early wickets and limit their total. We are not putting any pressure on ourselves by setting any target. We just want to bowl in the right areas to extract turn and bounce from the wicket,” India bowling coach Mhambrey said during the post-day press conference on Saturday.

India vs England 1st Test Day 4 Updates: Ollie Pope to will take the strike on Day 4 of the Hyderabad Test between India and England with only one hope – to repeat what he did on Day 3. Unbeaten on 148, the batter has brought England back into the game with his sublime batting as Indian bowlers struggled on a slow deck at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium.

England ended Day 3 on 316/6 and lead India by 126 runs. With four wickets more left in the kitty, England will look to stretch the lead to at least 200 runs before India get into the bat. The second innings have been tough for Indian bowlers on a pitch that didn’t offer much spin. Ravindra Jadeja took one wicket but gave away 101 runs, while Ravichandran Ashwin had two after leaking 93 runs.

Jasprit Bumrah ahs been the pic of the bowlers with two wickets from 12 overs and has only given away 29. Axar Patel has also taken one wicket so far. Indian bowlers will aim to wrap up England’s innings in the first session on Day 4 which will allow them to finish the match today itself.
