Kochi: Mammootty, a celebrated veteran of the Malayalam film industry, exhibits an everlasting spirit of innovation with his unconventional roles in his entire film career. The Turbo actor recently sat down for a chat with UAE-based YouTuber, Khalid Al Ameri, he revealed the idea of ending his acting journey. But he emphasised that once he stops, it won’t be a temporary break but a permanent farewell. The humble actor also candidly admitted that he doesn’t expect to live forever in everyone’s memory. Mammootty Expects People Will Forget Him

A sneak peek from an interview on X/ Twitter featuring Mammootty unveiled that he has made some insights about the possibility of his retirement from the acting world. The Bramayugam actor said, “No. I don’t feel exhausted. It (quitting) will be my last breath (sic).”

He further continued, “But how long will they remember me? One year? Ten years? Fifteen years? Finished. Don’t expect people to remember you till the end of the world. That won’t happen to anybody. Great people are remembered very, very, very less. Only very few people are remembered. I am one among thousands of actors. How can they remember me for more than a year? There’s no hope for that. Once you are not in the world, how will you know about you? Everybody thinks that they are going to be remembered till the end of the world. No (sic).”
