Manoj Bajpayee Breaks Silence on Rift with Anurag Kashyap: ‘He Didn’t Need Me Because My Career Was Going Down’

Manoj Bajpayee’s Rift With Anurag Kashyap

The actor explained that their misunderstanding stemmed from not communicating about a particular matter. Over time, this small issue was blown out of proportion on social media, leading to embarrassment for both the celebs. Manoj mentioned that he felt Anurag wasn’t making films that suited him, and Anurag believed Manoj’s career was on the decline, so neither saw the need to collaborate. Manoj said, “There was a misunderstanding about one thing, and we didn’t talk about it. Now it has become so big on social media that sometimes when embarrassment occurs, things are exaggerated. We didn’t talk because I felt, he wasn’t making films of my type, and he also felt that there was no need for Manoj Bajpayee right now because my career was going down. So both of us were enjoying our lives separately, he didn’t need me, and I didn’t need him.”

Despite their differences, Manoj and Anurag have enjoyed their separate careers. They previously worked together on notable projects like Satya, Gangs of Wasseypur, and Gangs of Wasseypur 2. Fans are eager to see the two reunite for future projects.

Apart from this, Manoj Bajpayee shared insights from the sets of Veer Zaara and his experiences working with Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta. He revealed that Yash Chopra doesn’t make movies like he does and he didn’t give him any false hope. Manoj exclusively told Bollywood Bubble, “Nahi, wada nahi kiya but kaha thi ki tumhari tarike ki filmein hi nahi banata. Tumhare jaise logon ki filmein nahi banata toh main kaha se tumhe vaada kar du aur wo bohot achi baat lagi mujhe. Toh wo mujhe false hope nahi dena chahte the mujhko. At the same time, bohot respect karte the as an actor. Mere kaam ko bohot pasand kiya tha unhone jo mera kaam tha aur unhone ye bhi kaha tha ki jab tak Veer Zaara rahegi tab tak teri tarif rahegi which is true.
