‘Perceived As Groupies’: Sophie Turner Talks About Being Tagged as ‘Jonas Brothers Wives’ With Priyanka Chopra and Danielle Jonas

After spending over seven years together and having two children, Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas separated in 2023. In a recent interview, Sophie opened up about her relationship with Joe and her experiences as part of the Jonas family. Sophie, Priyanka Chopra, and Danielle Jonas are married to the three Jonas Brothers – Joe, Nick, and Kevin – and were often seen accompanying their husbands on tour. Sophie expressed her dissatisfaction with being treated “like the wives,” though she clarified that Joe never made her feel that way.

In her conversation with the British Vogue, Sophie shared, “There was a lot of attention on the three brothers and the wives. We were always called ‘the wives,’ and I hated that.” She felt that the three women were unfairly perceived as “groupies.” Sophie elaborated, “It was kind of this plus-one feeling. And that’s nothing to do with him – in no way did he make me feel that – it was just that the perception of us was as the groupies in the band.”

Sophie, Priyanka, and Danielle appeared in the famous music video for “Sucker,” which marked the reunion of the Jonas Brothers band. Following the release of the “Happiness Begins” album, the three women were frequently referred to as the J-Sisters as they often toured with the band.

After Sophie and Joe’s relationship ended last year, tabloids painted Sophie as an irresponsible mother who liked to party. The “Game of Thrones” actor described that time as the “worst few days of my life,” and added, “I’m unhappy with the way everything played out, especially when it comes to my children. They’re the victims in all of this. But I think we’re doing the best we can.” She also mentioned that Joe is a “great father to our children.” Joe and Sophie began dating in 2016 and married in Las Vegas in 2019. They have two daughters – Willa, 3, and Delphine, 1. Priyanka and Nick married in 2018 and have one daughter, Malti Marie.
