PM Modi's popularity surges, becomes world's first leader to have over 2 crore subscribers on YouTube

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s YouTube channel has crossed 2 crore subscribers on Tuesday, 26 November, 2023, making him the only world leader to have achieved this distinction.

The Indian Prime Minister’s YouTube Channel has, both in terms of views and subscribers, far surpassed the YouTube channels of his global contemporaries and Indian contemporaries by a long distance.

With 4.5 Billion (450 crore) video views, Narendra Modi Channel leads the pack in terms of subscribers, videos views and quality of videos being posted by political leaders on YouTube.

Who is second world leader to have most followers on YouTube?

Former Brazilian President Jair Bolsanora comes right after PM Modi to be the global leader with second most follower count.

Bolsanora has 64 lakh subscribers which is a little less than one-third of the subscribers the Narendra Modi YouTube Channel has.

Similarly with 22.4 crore views in December 2023 alone, PM Modi’s YouTube channel has 43 times more views than YouTube Channel of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy who is the global leader with second highest number of views in his YouTube Channel.
