Ramoji Rao, chief of ETV network and founder of Hyderabad’s Ramoji film city, passed away on Saturday morning in Hyderabad. Rao was 87-year-old.

Ramoji Rao, Founder Of Hyderabad’s Ramoji Film City, Passes Away At 87

Hyderabad: Ramoji Rao, head of the ETV network and founder of Ramoji Film City, passed away on Saturday morning at Star Hospital in Hyderabad. The founder of Eenadu died at 3:45 am while he was undergoing treatment at the hospital, news agency ANI reported.  Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi consoled the demise of Rao. He took to X and wrote that Rao set new standards for innovation and excellence in the media and entertainment world.

 

Telangana BJP chief and party MP G Kishan Reddy took to X and stated that he was saddened by his demise.

“Saddened by the passing of Shri Ramoji Rao garu. His remarkable contributions to Telugu media and journalism is commendable. My deepest condolences to his family members. Om Shanti,” Reddy posted.
