Rishabh Pant shares video of workout session as he continues recovery from car crash; WATCH

Rishabh Pant’s recovery from the horrible car accident he was involved in last December is going smoothly as per the videos the wicketkeeper-batter shared on social media on Tuesday. In a video that has since gone viral on X, formerly Twitter, Pant can be seen lifting weights in a gym and performing various exercises as he gets ready for his professional return.

Pant captioned the video: “Bouncing back with every rep.”

The 26-year-old has been retained by his franchise Delhi Capitals and will be aiming to return in time for IPL 2024. If he manages to come back to cricket by IPL 2024, Pant will also be able to make a case for T20 World Cup 2024 which will be played in June in the West Indies and USA.

Earlier in August, Pant was seen playing in a club match in Bengaluru.

In Pant’s absence, the wicketkeeping duties were performed by KL Rahul in the ODI World Cup, while Ishan Kishan has been the preferred choice in T20Is. In Tests, KS Bharat performed the duty for a while but Kishan and Rahul are the only keepers in the squad for the South Africa tour.

Pant met an accident in December last year when his car collided with a road divider on the Delhi-Dehradun highway. He managed to escape the car just in time before it caught fire. The cricketer later underwent knee surgery for a ligament tear in Mumbai.
