Subha Rajput Says Even ‘Film Stars And A-Listers’ Are ‘Never Secure’ in Acting – Exclusive

Subha Rajput made her television debut in the popular series ‘Ishqbaaaz,’ in which she played Priyanka Singh Oberoi. She also had an appearance in ‘Dil Boley Oberoi,’ a spin-off adapted from ‘Ishqbaaaz.’ She appeared in the ‘377 AbNormal,’ which was released in 2019. She currently stars in the television series ‘Shiv Shakti: Tap Tyaag Taandav‘ as Parvati. The TV actor talked about her transition from the 2016 family drama to the 2024 devotional show in an exclusive conversation with india.com. Subha also disclosed if she felt under pressure to deliver better for a devotional show.

Subha Rajput Says Acting is ‘Never Secure’

Speaking about the renowned series Ishqbaaz, she said, “At that time I’d just entered Bombay and that was a parallel lead, which was a great experience in itself. I always knew that I wanted to do something else and that is why I parted with the show.”

She added, “Everyone thinks acting is all fun and games. It’s the hardest profession because even if you’re not working, you have to constantly work on yourself. It’s constant work till the end of time, it’s never a point where you think you’re secure because even the film stars and A-listers can’t just stay at home and enjoy their meals thinking that they don’t have to do anything. I think it’s constant hard work, wherein you have to continuously work on yourself, and your craft and that’s what I’ve been doing. I always knew what I wanted, I always knew and I still know that sky is the limit.”

Subha, who pursued a B.Tech degree, never aspired to be an actor. During one of her unplanned theatre sessions, the TV actor released her love for acting. Hailing herself as ‘god’s favourite child,’ she spoke about the responsibility that comes with playing a devotional character. She revealed, “More than pressure, it’s a responsibility because it’s not just a regular episode where you can just act and get away with it, people’s sentiments and emotions are attached to the show. There has to be utmost honesty and responsibility.”
