US Shooter Gunned Down Outside Wisconsin School, Institution On Full Lockdown
A 14-year-old suspect was shot dead following a confrontation with police after an active shooter was reported outside a Wisconsin middle school on Wednesday.
Wisconsin: A potential mass shooting was stopped by Police outside a school in Wisconsin where cops gunned down a gunman on Wednesday. No casualties or injuries were reported to those inside the school. However, Mount Horeb Area School District allowed only younger students to go home from a nearby elementary school and cops remained on the scene for hours as a precautionary measure.
The district authorities informed in a Facebook post that remaining students would stay inside the school premises “while the police continue their investigation.” Panicked and worried about their children, parents described their kids were hiding in the closets, afraid to communicate on mobile phones.
The district posted updates on Facebook throughout the day, reporting that all district schools were on lockdown. Mount Horeb authorities informed that the “alleged assailant” was harmed. Witnesses state that they heard gunshots and saw dozens of children running.
“An initial search of the middle school has not yielded additional suspects. As importantly, we have no reports of individuals being harmed, with the exception of the alleged assailant,” a post said.
