Uttar Pradesh Monsoon Update: Rain Lashes Parts of Noida City, Temperature Dips Marginally

Noida: Rains lash parts of Uttar Pradesh’s Noida city on Sunday. The sudden change in the weather brought much-needed relief for the people in the town. The weather department had earlier predicted generally cloudy skies with light showers or drizzle on Sunday. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 40 degrees and 30 degrees Celsius, respectively, in the national capital.
The maximum temperature in Delhi was recorded a notch above normal at 39.4 degrees Celsius, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Saturday. The minimum temperature had settled 0.6 notches above the season’s average at 28.6 degrees Celsius, it further said.

Red alert in Kerala
In Kerala, the IMD has sounded a red alert in Wayanad, Kozhikode, and Kannur and an orange alert in Thrissur, Palakkad, Ernakulam, Malappuram, and Kasargod for Sunday.
“Kerala and Mahe are very likely to get isolated heavy (64.5-115.5 mm) to very heavy rainfall to extremely heavy falls (>204.4 mm) on 22nd & 23rd June and likely to get isolated heavy (64.5-115.5 mm) to very heavy rainfall (115.5-204.4 mm) during 24th-26th June, 2024,” the IMD said in a post on ‘X’.
On Sunday, rain with thunderstorms is likely to continue in Rajasthan’s Kota, Udaipur division, and surrounding areas. From Monday onwards, rain is predicted to increase in some parts of southeastern Rajasthan, said the weather department.
