She was one of many many most charming performers of the Eighties. She made each person’s hearts skip a beat when she debuted within the 1981 picture alongside Kumar Gaurav. With the success of the film, she garnered overnight recognition. After starring in her first movie, she received other film offers and went on to superstar in films including Zalzala, Jeete Hain Shaan Se, Mohabbat, Car Thief, and Deewana Tere Naam Ka. Essentially, she was once considered bigger than her contemporaries Madhuri Dixit, Jayaprada and Sridevi.
The actor in question is Vijayta Pandit! Despite having an phenomenal work life, she experienced kind of varied tragedies, making her personal life nothing lower than a roller coaster. Following the premiere of her movie Love Story, Vijayta Pandit and her co-superstar Kumar Gaurav were connected. There were rumours that the couple was taking into account marriage because they were so concerned with one every other. Rajendra Kumar, Gaurav’s father, was opposed to their alliance, though. In an interview with Lehren, she said, “He (Kumar Gaurav) was my first love. He used to be an exceedingly charming boy. Sooner or later, we fell in love. Rajendra Kumar guessed that we were in love, and he was against it. He told him – ‘You're my prince, and I’ll get you married to a princess, somebody who belongs to an affluent family’.”
Despite her fame, Vijayta Pandit found it tough to achieve every other hit because she believed Rajendra Kumar had her removed from the movies after learning about her and Kumar’s off-screen relationship. She remembered that she was speculated to collaborate with acclaimed director Ramanand Sagar on a movie also sometimes called Romance, but Poonam Dhillon took her place. She also spent ten days in Goa filming the movie Rahi. She did, alternatively, assert that Rajendra Kumar forced her out of the movie.
Additionally, Vijayta Pandit temporarily married Sameer Malkan, a movie director. Later, Kumar Gaurav exchanged wedding vows with Namrata Dutt, Sanjay Dutt’s sister and Sunil Dutt-Nargis’ daughter.
Vijayta Pandit left up acting to pursue a career as a playback singer following her 1990 marriage to composer Aadesh Srivastav. Since then, she has sung for movies including Dev (2004), Saazish (1998), Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar (1992), and Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa (1993).
