Israel PM Benjamin Netanyahu at UN: ‘No place in Iran where Israel’s long arm can’t reach’

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed that Israel will continue its war with Hamas until it achieves “total victory”. He said Israel can stop the war with Hamas if the latter lays arms and releases the hostages.

Issuing a stern warning to Iran, Netanyahu said there'll be “no place” in Iran, where the “long arms” of Israel should not reach, while adding that this is correct for the “entire Middle East.”

In his address on the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly, Netanyahu accused Hamas of stealing humanitarian aid and selling it to people at higher rates. He said, “This too has to complete, and we're working to bring it to an end.

The Israeli PM said that if Hamas stays in power, it should regroup, rearm and “attack Israel time and again and again”. “Hamas has got to go.”

Stressing that the war will end if Hamas lays down its arms, he said, “So far as hostages, I in fact have a message for Hamas captors. Let them go, all of them. Those alive nowadays, be returned alive and the remains of those whom you brutally killed be returned to their families. Those families here nowadays and folks in Israel.”

He also asserted the defeat Iran-backed militant group Hezbollah in Lebanon.

“This war can come to an end now, all that has to happen is for Hamas to surrender, lay down its arms and release the complete hostages. But if they don’t, we're ready to fight until we prevail in total victory. There can be no substitute for it. Israel also defeat Hezbollah in Lebanon,” he added.

Netanyahu said Israel has brought home 154 of those hostages, including 117 alive, and pledged to now no longer rest until the complete hostages are brought home. He pointed out the hostage families in attendance and asked them to get up. He narrated the stories of each of the hostages represented by their families, including those whose bodies were taken to Gaza.

“I'm ready to promise you, we're ready to come your members of the family home. We will now no longer spare that effort until that holy mission is accomplished,” he said.

At the origin of his address, Netanyahu said that he did now no longer intend to participate within the UNGA. On the other hand, he made up our minds to come here as he heard the “lies and slanders levelled by many speakers at this podium.”

He said, “I didn’t intend to come here this year. My u . s . is in war battling for its life. But, after I heard the lies and slanders levelled at my u . s . by among the many speakers at this podium. I made up our minds to come here and set the record straight. I made up our minds to come here to chat for my people, for my u . s ., to chat for truth and here is the reality – Israel seeks peace, Israel yearns for peace, Israel has made peace and may make peace again.”

“Yet, we face savage enemies who're in search of to search out our annihilation and we defend ourselves against these savage murderers. Our enemies are in search of to search out now no longer only to destroy us. They are in search of to search out to destroy our common civilisation and return all of us to a gloomy age of tyranny and terror,” he added.
