Vijay Varma on doing a romantic scene with Kareena Kapoor Khan: 'I was a bundle of nerves'

Vijay Varma and Kareena Kapoor Khan are gearing up for Netflix’s Jaane Jaan that releases on September 21. While speaking to Shehnaaz Gill, the Dahaad actor spoke about doing a romantic scene with the actress.

He revealed, “There is a scene, where she’s looking at me in a certain way, and she’s singing. As soon as that scene came, I was a bundle of nerves. You cannot handle it.” He added, “She is very beautiful when she performs. She has that poise and charm.”

On being praised by Kareena

That’s her generosity that she spoke about me and Jaideep this way. It was really not needed from her. To put us on a pedestal… it did feel good.

When asked about his role in Dahaad a few months back, Varma told Firstpost, “My character is shrouded in a lot of mystery as you can see from the trailer. But from the looks of it, he’s a nice, simpleton Hindi literature teacher who also teaches underprivileged kids on the weekends. He leads a very simple married life that kind of gets intertwined with some sort of investigation. There could be a lot more than what meets the eyes.”

On working with Sonakshi Sinha… 

This is the first time I am working with her and it has been an absolute delight. She’s a great person to hang out with and we became closer as a unit while working. We didn’t want the shoot to end and that’s the sign of a great working environment.
