New Delhi: Star Indian cricketer Virat Kohli and Leg- spinner Yuzvendra Chahal expressed delight after meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Thursday, July 4. The T20 World Cup winning Indian team was hosted by PM Modi for breakfast Upon their arrival back in India from Barbados. Skipper Rohit Sharma and his teammates came back to India after an extended stay in hurricane-hit Barbados after their historical T20 World Cup triumph on Saturday, June 29.

Virat Kohli said it was a great honour to meet the Prime Minister and thanked him for inviting the team to his residence. In visuals shared by the Prime Minister’s Office, Virat Kohli was seen engaging in conversation with PM Modi during a delightful breakfast session. The meeting was filled with smiles and laughter as the Prime Minister listened intently to captivating anecdotes from the T20 world champions.

“What a great honour meeting our honourable prime minister shri narendra modi ji today @narendramodi. Thank you sir for inviting us to the prime ministers residence (sic),” Virat Kohli said.

Virat Kohli also shared a photo of him shaking hands with the Prime Minister during the breakfast session. PM Modi posed with the entire Indian contingent for a photo in which captain Rohit Sharma and Rahul Dravid were holding the trophy.

Leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal expressed his gratitude to PM Modi for his unwavering encouragement, inspiring the team to strive for even greater success.
