Watch: YouTuber IShowSpeed and legendary Brazil striker Ronaldo discuss Virat Kohli

Popular YouTuber IShowSpeed never refrains from showing his admiration for Virat Kohli. The American social media star is known to be an avid follower of sports. Apart from cricket, football is another game that is close to  Speed’s heart. Speed recently got to meet World Cup-winning footballer Ronaldo Nazario during his tour across Brazil. In a now-viral social media video. Speed, donning a home kit of Brazil, was seen asking Ronaldo if he knew Kohli.

Ronaldo initially could not understand the question. But when Speed showed him a picture of Kohli and the legendary Brazilian striker was quick to recognise the Indian batting icon. It brought immense joy to Speed, who could not hold his excitement and immediately called Kohli the “GOAT” (Greatest of All Time) of cricket. The YouTuber also pointed out, “He’s the best, better than Babar Azam.” In response, Ronaldo nodded his head in agreement.

In October last year, Speed came to India to attend the ODI World Cup. He marked his presence at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium during the big-ticket clash between India and Pakistan. Sporting the Indian jersey like every other home fan, Speed cheered for the Men in Blue throughout the game.

Apart from Virat Kohli, Speed also holds great respect for Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo. He even attended the last Ballon d’Or ceremony in Paris where Lionel Messi secured his record-extending eighth award.

As far as Kohli’s career is concerned, the Indian talismanic batter is currently gearing up to make a comeback in T20I cricket. After sitting out of 20-over cricket for more than a year, Kohli was recalled for the upcoming three-match T20I series against Afghanistan.

However, the 35-year-old will miss the opening encounter. While speaking in a pre-match press conference on the eve of the first T20I, coach Rahul Dravid said that Kohli would be unavailable for the Mohali fixture due to “personal reasons.” Apart from Kohli, captain Rohit Sharma is also returning to the T20I set-up and is set to play all matches in the series against Afghanistan.
