Bengaluru Rave Party Case: Telugu actor Hema was taken into custody by the Central Crime Branch on Monday after questioning her in connection with the Bengaluru rave party case. A rave party was planned in a farmhouse close to Electronic City on May 19th.  She had been called to the CCB on Monday. According to sources, she submitted to interrogators while hiding her identity with a burqa. Her responses were insufficient, therefore she was taken into custody, as per a report by News18.

According to CCB sources, the rave party was arranged under the guise of a birthday celebration, with the majority of attendees travelling from nearby Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. They mentioned that there were also a few individuals from Bengaluru. The CCB conducted an operation and took blood samples from partygoers after receiving a tip.

Who is Telugu Actor Hema Linked in Rave Party in Bengaluru?

Kolla Hema is a well-known actress in the Telugu cinema business.  She was born Krishna Veni from Razole but changed her name to Hema after entering films. Since 2014, she has acted in more than 250 motion pictures. The 57-year-old is the recipient of the ‘Nandi Award’ for Best Female Comedian. She has been a well-known actor for more than three decades, mostly in supporting parts.

The actor has already denied rumours that she went to a rave party in Bengaluru, earlier.

The news that 86 partygoers at a recent rave event on the outskirts of the city tested positive for drug usage on May 22 sparked a lot of controversy and revealed the pervasive drug culture among partygoers.

The Anti-Narcotics Division of the Karnataka Police raided the rave, which drew 73 men and 30 women, including two Telugu actors – Hema and Ashi Roy.

Bengaluru’s top police said, “On the night of May 19, Bengaluru Police’s CCB, based on specific information, raided a farmhouse at Electronic City. Around 100 people were at the event where drugs and narcotic substances were found,” as quoted by the publication.
