You Can Earn $1,000 for Watching Every 'Fast and Furious' Movie (Here's How)

If you've been meaning to watch (or rewatch) all 10 "Fast & Furious" movies back-to-back, this may be your lucky day. 

For the uninitiated, "Fast & Furious" is a 10-installment movie series starring Vin Diesel and featuring a ton of really fast cars. Of course, there's more nuance to the various plot lines. But not a ton.

Still, you don't need a complicated "Inception"-style plot to keep people paying for movie tickets. "Fast," as it is often referred to, is Universal's  (CMCSA) - Get Free Report biggest franchise and the eighth-highest-grossing film series, with $6 billion in combined gross sales.

It's largely credited with launching the careers of both Diesel and Paul Walker. But it hasn't all been rosy for the "Fast" installments.

In November 2013 Walker and his financial adviser, Rodger Rodas, were driving a 2005 Porsche Carrera GT at double the 45 mph speed limit in Santa Clarita, Calif., northwest of Los Angeles, near a popular spot for drifting. The Porsche crashed into a post and two trees and caught fire, killing both Walker and Rodas. 

With the loss of Walker, "Fast & Furious" had to rewrite the subsequent movies, to the disappointment and heartbreak of many fans. 

Good News for 'Fast' Fans

Ten years after Walker's death, "Fast & Furious" is still going strong. At least two more installments are anticipated, with "Fast X" due out May 19, 2023. An as-yet-unnamed sequel to "Fast X" is expected sometime in 2025. 

But if you simply can't get enough of "Fast" -- or if you can't wait for May 19 -- there's an opportunity to make a little cash by doing just that.

FinanceBuzz is offering $1,000 cash to the "right candidate to watch the Fast & Furious saga and help us assess the auto damage across all 10 movies," the site says.

Candidates must make thorough notes of each car accident that results in damage, count the number of accidents, the total damages, and which cars are involved in each crash.
