In what turned out to be a sleeper hit last year, Vikrant Massey-starrer 12th Fail has been consistently impressing the audience. Not only that, it has not just captured the hearts of the audience but also struck a chord with critics and celebrities alike.

Based on the life of an IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma, the film visualises his story with Massey playing the titular role. The actor is being hailed for his exceptional performance by the audience. And now the entertainment industry has also come together to acknowledge how brilliant the film is.

Hrithik Roshan recently reviewed the film, heaping praise on director Vidhu Vinod Chopra and lead actor Vikrant Massey.

Hrithik Roshan praises the 12th Fail

Hrithik Roshan said he recently watched the film and then called it a “masterclass in filmmaking.”

Noting that he feels inspired by everything, Hrithik praised the use of sound effects in the film, adding that it enhances the moments. The actor also praised the brilliant performances of the actors, finally thanking Chopra for the “brilliant piece.”

“Finally saw 12th Fail. It’s quite a masterclass in filmmaking. Above everything else I was inspired by the use of sound and sound effects to enhance the moments. Brilliant performances. Mr. Chopra, what a movie! Thank you for the brilliance. I am deeply inspired by this one,” he wrote.

Fans also reacted to Hrithik’s review as many compared the Vikrant Massey film to the actor’s 2019 film, Super 30.

Celebrities Praise 12th Fail

Recently, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap also lauded Vikrant Massey’s 12th Fail, stating that “a new benchmark” had been set with the film. Sharing a poster of the film on his Facebook account, the director wrote, “Probably the best mainstream film I’ve seen in 2023.”

He also praised director Vidhu Vinod Chopra for “crafting a masterpiece” at the age of 71.

“What amazed me about the film is how he breaks all conventions of mainstream and has scenes done in simple long shots,” he added.

The films have also impressed many other celebrities like Kangana Ranaut, Janhvi Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Rohit Shetty, Bhumi Pednekar, Anil Kapoor, Farhan Akhtar, Kamal Haasan, Rani Mukerji, and even Pakistani actor Bilal Qureshi. The celebrities not only expressed how the film makes them feel inspired but also urged others to watch it.
