Amy Jackson's EXCLUSIVE interview on 'CRAKK': 'Trained a lot to keep up with Vidyut Jammwal and Arjun Rampal'

Amy Jackson has done some massive films like Singh Iis Bling, I, 2.0, but Aditya Datt’s Crackk could be her most challenging role till date, going by the trailer and theme of the action-packed potboiler that stars Vidyut Jammwal and Arjun Rampal, and even Nora Fatehi.

In an exclusive interview with Firstpost, the actress spoke about her prep for the role, working with the two hunks of the industry, and what we can expect from her upcoming slate.

Tell us something about your character in the film

She’s a polish agent and I fell in love with the character. The writer narrated the story to me and I was waiting for the right script and the right role since a long time. I got a great vibe from the director (Aditya Datt) since he’s new, young, fresh, creative and he has seen action films in different genres. we shot at different landscapes and I always wanted to do something like this.

How was your prep for the role like?

I really enjoyed my fitness regime. I have been practicing kickboxing and boxing since the birth of my little boy in 2019. I have been a fan of boxing and traveled to places like Las Vegas Saudi Arabia to watch it. It’s also my passion to watch old boxing movies. I did my research and training to keep up with Vidyut Jammwal and Arjun Rampal. I did have a lot of experience in boxing, though.

What can we expect from the action sequences since it’s India’s first sports-action film?

I am also trying to uncover the feelings and feedback from the audience on social media, they are very excited since this is an edge-of-the-seat trailer and takes action genre to another level. That’s something really great about Vidyut, he wants the industry to progress and the action genre. He truly has a real, dedicated background of martial arts and showcases that on the screen.

What do you have to say about OTT as a platform and its role in shaping up content?

I love platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime. They have merged countries and industries together. They prove cinema has no language and have given great filmmakers and stories. But I hope people choose cinema also because I love movies, there’s so much hard work. A film like Crakk deserves a big screen where the audiences are surrounded by the sound of action filled with popcorn entertainment. There’s so much opportunity to find different kinds of content. Movies much be watched in cinemas.

What next for Amy Jackson?

I am trying to be a mother to my son. I have a release in South coming up very soon and also filming an American series in the U.K. And I am also trying to take out time for the important people in my life.
