Anupam Kher lauds son Sikander Kher for 'entering the world of Hollywood' with Dev Patel's 'Monkey Man'

Actor Sikandar Kher, primarily known for his work in the Sushmita Sen starrer web series Aarya and Aurangzeb, is now gearing up for his Hollywood debut in Dev Patel’s Monkey Man. Ahead of the film’s release, Anupam Kher dropped a post on his social media handle to congratulate Sikander on his new venture. He accompanied the post with a heartwarming note which has now caught everyone’s attention.

As Sikander is all set for his Hollywood debut, Anupam Kher, on February 1, posted the trailer of the film to laud his son. Sharing the trailer of the upcoming film Monkey Man, Anupam wrote, “Dearest Sikandar Kher! What a FABULOUS entry into the world of #Hollywood. The trailer of #DevPatel’s #MonkeyMan is absolutely brilliant and intriguing! And you in it are amazingly effective! Congratulations! Speaking of the film, Monkey Man is a Hollywood action thriller. It is directed by Dev Patel who has also co-produced and co-written the film. Besides, he will also be playing a pivotal role in the film. One of the highly anticipated films of the year, Monkey Man also features Sharlto Copley, Pitobash, Sobhita Dhulipala, Sikandar Kher, Vipin Sharma, Ashwini Kalsekar, Adithi Kalkunte, and Makarand Deshpande.

Set in India, Dev Patel’s film explores the life of a man who is hell-bent on taking revenge on the ones responsible for his mother’s demise. Monkey Man is scheduled for a theatrical release on April 5, 2024.

Sikandar Kher, for those unversed, is the son of actress Kiron Kher and her former husband Gautam Berry. Later, Kiron married Anupam Kher and the adorable couple have been married since 1985. Sikander is hailed as one of the most talented actors whose incredible performance in Tooth Pari: When Love Bites and Vasan Bala’s Monica O My Darling garnered him critical acclaim.

Meanwhile, Anupam Kher, in a career spanning around four decades, has proven his versatility as an actress. He was last seen in Neeraj Pandey’s action thriller The Freelancer. Next, he will be seen in The Signature, Kaagaz 2, Vijay 69, and The Indian House.
