Kareena Kapoor has been earning a lot of praise for her acting prowess in Sujoy Ghosh’s Jaane Jaan. Now, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has shared an Instagram story and lauded the actress’ performance in The Buckingham Murders, helmed by Hansal Mehta. Taking to Instagram Stories, Anurag Kashyap wrote, “Kareena Kapoor’s best performance ever in this moody film about loss and grief, and murder, by Hansal Mehta.”

The Buckingham Murders premieres at Jio MAMI Film Festival

The Buckingham Murders will be screened at the Jio MAMI Film Festival which will be held between 27 October and 5 November. The film also has its world premiere at the 67th BFI London Film Festival.

Apart from acting in the film, Kareena will debut as a producer alongside Ektaa Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor. The makers dropped the first official look poster of The Buckingham Murder last week. Kareena appeared fierce in the monochromic picture while some authoritative figures tried their best to pull her back.

What Kareena Kapoor said on The Buckingham Murders

Speaking about the film, Kareena Kapoor said that The Buckingham Murders was extremely special for her as it was her maiden venture as a co-producer. She added that working with Hansal Mehta and Ektaa Kapoor was deeply satisfying and an immersive experience.

Kareena Kapoor was last seen in Jaane Jaan opposite Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma. The thriller released on 21 September on Netflix.

All About The Buckingham Murders

Other than Kareena Kapoor, The Buckingham Murders will also star Ranveer Brar, Ash Tandon, Haqi Ali, Adwoa Akoto and Keith Allen in important roles.

Produced under the banners of Balaji Motion Pictures, Mahana Films and Tips Industries, the film will revolve around a British-Indian detective Jasmeet Bhamra (played by Kareena Kapoor). She is given the task of solving the murder mystery of a child in Buckinghamshire.
