Kangana Ranaut confirms 'Tanu Weds Manu 3', to also star with 'Jawan' star Vijay Sethupathi in a big project

After the success of Tanu Weds Manu (2011) and Tanu Weds Manu Returns (2015), Kangana Ranaut has confirmed while speaking to IMDb that she also has part three lined-up, and also that she will star with ‘Jawan‘ star Vijay Sethupathi in a big project.

The actress has had a release today called Tejas, where she plays the role of an air force pilot. She also has Emergency coming up where she play former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.

The Manikarnika actor recently shared Jawan’s poster and wrote a heartfelt note for Shah Rukh wherein she described King Khan’s journey to becoming ‘the quintessential Indian mass superhero at the age of 60 (almost) as nothing short of superheroic even in real life.’

Kangana Ranaut further said, “SRK is the cinema God that cinema needs not just for his hugs or dimples but for some serious world saving as well. (smile face emoticons) Bowing down to your perseverance, hard work and humility King Khan. @iamsrk.”

The Queen star also pointed out how people mocked SRK’s choices earlier. However, she described ‘his struggle as a master class for all those artists who enjoy long careers but must reinvent and re-establish.’

Barring a special appearance in Salman Khan’s film Ready back in 2011, she has never worked with any of the Khans of the industry. Speaking to Times Now Navbharat, she revealed what her issue with them and their films was.

She said, “I have never said anything unreasonable about the Khans. My main issue was the shorter female roles (in their films) and the age of the actresses who were cast opposite them. See, how that is changing now. Actresses over 35-40 are becoming the heroines of Khans. So, I have fought for these changes. Otherwise, we used to see the heroines of Khans play their mothers 8-10 years down the line. So, we have fought for these changes.”

The actress added, “I am not scared of speaking against anyone but when you have to go to court, then you feel that this is such a wastage of time.”
