Is there a reserve day for the Asia Cup final?

It’s worth noting that there is a Reserve Day for the Asia Cup 2023 final. If the match is not completed on Sunday, the final can be rescheduled for Monday. As a precedent, the India vs Pakistan Super 4s match was completed on the Reserve Day after only 24.1 overs were played on the original match day.

According to BBC’s weather portal, there is a 70 per cent chance of rain at 7:30 pm local time.

India will be keen to get their hands on this title after claiming their last significant victory 2018 when beat over Bangladesh under Rohit Sharma’s captaincy in a thrilling contest.

India have been good in the tournament so far and they have made it to the final with convincing wins over Pakistan by 228 runs and then against Sri Lanka in a low-scoring match. However, they come into the match after having lost to Bangladesh by a narrow margin of 6 runs.

Meanwhile, Sri Lanka have reached this stage by beating Pakistan in a last-ball thriller in a virtual semi-final. With an impressive record of 13 wins in their last 14 matches, Sri Lanka will be the team to beat, especially in their home conditions at the R Premadasa Stadium.
