Mumbai: Rohit Sharma is easily one of the most popular cricketers of the generation and that is the case because of his skills with the bat and his loving nature. Rohit, who commands a lot of respect in the dressing-room as players treat him as his elder brother, was spotted giving autograph to his own MI teammate Romario Shephard at the Wankhede stadium on Friday during MI’s final game of the season versus LSG. Romario bends forward and requests Rohit, who is seated in the balcony of the dressing-room. Rohit looks at him and then obliges by giving the autograph.

As MI is bowling first, Rohit is being used as the Impact Sub and hence he has not taken the field.

At the time of filing the copy, the Super Giants are 85 for three in eleven overs. KL Rahul and Nicholas Pooran are in the middle.

Earlier, MI captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and opted to bowl first as he believes the Wankhede is a good chasing ground.

“Chasing is better in Wankhede. It comes on nicer in the evening. It’s always about playing for the badge, playing for pride – all those words are important in the group. We know where we stand. But ending the season playing good cricket will always be appreciated. It gives us more freedom maybe to go out there and express ourselves,” Hardik said at the toss.
