Asian Games 2023: India's schedule on 27 September, time in IST, live streaming

Indian athletes made quite the impression on Day 3 of the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, adding four medals to their tally including a first gold medal in equestrian in 41 years.

Hriday Chheda, Divyakriti Singh, Anush Agarwalla and Sudipti Hajela helped defeat hosts and favourites China to win India’s first ever gold in the team dressage event.

Additionally, Neha Thakur opened India’s account in sailing with a silver in the girl’s dinghy ILCA-4 event. Eabad Ali (men’s windsurfer RS:X) and Vishnu Saravanan (men’s dinghy – ILCA7) would win a bronze each to add to India’s medal haul in sailing.

India also made a strong start in men’s hockey, thrashing Singapore 16-1 to make a bold announcement of their intention to stand atop the podium.

The women’s hockey team will be aiming to get off to a similar start as the men in their opening game, in which they also face Singapore, that takes place on Wednesday morning.
