Commonwealth Games: Amit Panghal sails into quarterfinals; beats Berry Namri
Amit Panghal sailed into the quarterfinals of the men's flyweight category (48-51kg) defeating Vanuatu's Berry Namri at the ongoing Commonwealth Games in Birmingham on Monday.
Playing his first round, the 2-year-old Indian dominated the bout in all three rounds as he won it by unanimous verdict. Four of the judges gave 30-25 score in favour of Amit while one judge gave a 30-27.

The 2019 World Championship silver medallist will now face Scotland's Lennon Mulligan in the last eight on Thursday (4 August).
Other Indian boxer in the fray on the day is Mohammed Hussamuddin, who will face Bangladesh's Salim Hossain in last-16 of the featherweight category (54-57kg) at 6PM IST. His bout will be followed by Ashish Kumar's light heavyweight bout against Niue's Trapatuetoa.
