Darshan’s Lawyer Makes Shocking Claims, Denies Pavithra Gowda as Kannada Actor’s Second Wife: ‘They Used to Be…’

Bengaluru: Darshan Thoogudeepa recognised for his work in the Kannada film industry along with Pavithra Gowda. The two are currently under suspicion in the supposed murder case of 33-year-old fan, Renukaswamy. Despite the circulating rumors of their decade-long relationship, in an exclusive chat with India Today, Darshan’s legal representative strongly denied all claims indicating Pavithra as the actor’s second wife or partner. Darshan’s Lawyer Dismisses Rumours About Pavithra as Second Wife
Anil dismissed rumours suggesting Pavithra is Darshan’s second wife or significant other, providing clarity that Vijayalakshmi is the lawfully wedded wife of Darshan and Pavithra is merely a work associate and a dear friend. He said, “Pavithra Gowda being the second wife, that is utterly false. She is just a friend. They used to be co-stars and now they have a friendly relationship, nothing else. The only wife (of Darshan) is the first wife, Vijayalakshmi. No second marriage happened at any point of time (sic).”
Furthermore, Anil insisted on affirming that Darshan remained innocent regarding Renukaswamy’s homicide. Even though the CCTV visuals spotted the actor’s Jeep at the crime scene, Anil emphasized that the police fail to provide solid evidence demonstrating Darshan’s actual presence. Reiterating, he was supposedly not in the car at the time. Anil held strong that Darshan was entirely unaware of the incident as it unfolded.
He further said, “The first question is whether that car belongs to Darshan, that is yet to be established. Secondly, the police have to say that Darshan was present inside the car, that is the most important. Darshan is not at all involved in this case. So no question arises whether he paid anyone or how much was paid. He doesn’t know anything about that matter (sic).”

Darshan and Vijayalakshmi, who’ve shared a decade of marriage, have a son they called Vinish. Stirring delight and surprise among her followers, Pavithra posted a collection of pictures with Darshan earlier this year. When Pavithra’s story gained plenty of attention, Vijayalakshmi issued a threat of legal action. However, Pavithra was quick to clarify to TOI that her actions sprang from a decade of love and kindness, not a selfish agenda. She felt disheartened that Vijayalakshmi, who had known about their affair, was now resorting to intimidation. Renukaswamy’s life tragically ended, his body was discovered in a ditch near Sumanahalli by an unsuspecting food delivery individual, according to PTI reports. The initial police investigation had two men confessing to the crime, citing financial disputes as the motive behind Renukaswamy’s murder. But, as the investigation deepened, a different story began to unfold, implicating Darshan and Pavithra as key players in the murder case. It is believed that Renukaswamy’s offensive messages to Pavithra so incensed Darshan that it led to direct consequences. While initially, Darshan and his associates were due for police custody until June 16, the latest developments have extended their police custody until June 20.
