Devara: Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor-starrer Preponed! Movie To Release on THIS Date
Jr NTR starrer Devara has been postponed. The movie was supposed to release in October, but will now release in September.
Jr NTR-starrer Devara is one of the most anticipated films of the year. The movie features an ensemble cast, including Jr NTR, Janhvi Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, and others. While fans eagerly await the film’s release, the makers have raised excitement by revealing that the Devara release date has been postponed. The movie, which was initially supposed to be released on October 10, 2024, will now hit the screens on September 27, 2024.
The news of Devara being preponed was shared by trade analysts Taran Adarsh and Janhvi Kapoor. Sharing the news, Taran wrote, “NTR JR – SAIF ALI KHAN – JANHVI KAPOOR: ‘DEVARA’ WILL ARRIVE EARLY: 27 SEPT… #Devara Part 1 – starring #NTRJr, #SaifAliKhan, and #JanhviKapoor – will now release in cinemas on 27 Sept 2024 [the film was initially scheduled for release on 10 Oct 2024]. Directed by #KoratalaSiva, #Devara will be released in two parts. #JrNTR #NTR30 #DevaraOnSep27th.” Janhvi also shared the same announcement and wrote, “He is coming. Man of Masses @JrNTR’s #Devara in cinemas from !”

Jr NTR’s film is divided into two parts. Devara Part 1 is set against the coastal lands and is helmed by Koratala Siva. Since the movie features Janhvi Kapoor, it also marks her debut in South Indian films. Ramya Krishna also plays a key role in the film. Additionally, several reports claim that actress Chaitra Rai will be joining the star cast; however, an official confirmation is yet to be made.
Similar to RRR, this Telugu movie is set to feature high-octane action sequences designed to captivate the audience. Reports suggest that Devara is being produced on an enormous budget, with the makers allocating an impressive Rs 140 crore solely for its VFX. Rumour has it that 33 per cent of the film’s total budget is being dedicated to special effects.
Devara marks Jr NTR’s 30th film, in which he will reportedly play dual roles as both father and son. Earlier this year in January, Jr NTR unveiled the first poster of the film, featuring him standing on a boat in the middle of the sea with an intense expression, wearing a shirt and black pants.
