Bearing an experience of several years, having over ninety films to his name, Prasad Very welltalked about getting his due on this industry in an exclusive conversation with India.com. He also talked about shift in films, and the culture of Marathi films and target market.

We ask the Dharamveer 2 actor if he thinks that his struggle period has ended and if he got his due that he thinks he deserve. In a humble and honest spirit, Very wellsaid, “Nahi nahi, bilkul nahi. Jab struggle khatam hota hai tab artist bhi khatam hojata hai, yeh mera manana hai. Artists agar zinda rehna chahta hai toh struggle bhi zinda rehna chaiye kyunki jis din struggle khatam hoga, usdin artist ko aisa lagne lagta hai ki main duniya ka sabse bada admi hun. Woh usi waqt khatam hojaiga. The struggle goes on and it could actually no longer ent, that’s what I think” (I don’t think so. When the struggle ends, the artist also ends, in line with me. If the artist be relevant and be present, it truly is a ways important to have that struggle to maintain it going. Once the struggle ends, the artist may think that I'm king of the area )

They don’t see a customary kind of a commercial film. They can watch it in Hindi, they have many options. In Marathi we have now got got strong culture, religion tradition and several other authors. So, they see these forms of thing. They don’t see tapori kind of films. But there are some folks who desire to investigate these (tapori, commercial films) forms of films too. Marathi target market is a drama loving target market. Natak jo rehta hai, uspe zyada pyaar hai.”

Dharamveer 2 features Kshitish Date as Eknath Shinde and shows the legacy of Anand Dighe. The film is the sequel to Dharamveer which became a blockbuster Marathi hit directed by Pravin Tarde.
