Ekta Kapoor Announces Broken But Beautiful Season 5; Reveals WHY She Chose To Scrap Season 4

Ekta Kapoor’s Broken But Beautiful series received massive love from the audience. While the first and second seasons featured Vikrant Massey and Harleen Sethi, the third season swamped fans as it featured the late actor Sidharth Shukla. Now, once again, fans are all set to witness yet another epic love story as Ekta Kapoor revealed on Saturday that she is bringing back her much-loved show “Broken But Beautiful” for the fifth season. This may surprise many, considering the previous season was the third instalment of the series. She announced she is skipping the fourth season in memory of the late actor Sidharth Shukla.

Taking to Instagram, Ekta shared a video which is a compilation of the previous seasons of “Broken But Beautiful.” The compilation brought back several memories of the previous three seasons. In announcing her decision to scrap season 4 and proceed directly to season 5, she expressed that certain love stories remain incomplete.

Sharing the video, Ekta wrote, “Had to post this yesterday! Better late than never! My year begins with love … and a love story! As I begin writing another story of love, longing, losing, and healing, there is I’ll be questions about why no season four! With @realsidharthshukla gone, there will be no season 4 in his memory and with the belief that some love stories don’t end; they transcend … now writing another love story, another season!!! #brokenbutbeautiful season 5.”

Late actor Sidharth Shukla was widely loved by the audience for his performance in Ekta Kapoor’s show. The actor bagged the show straight after lifting the trophy in Bigg Boss 13. However, following his passing in 2021, the fate of the next instalment of the show was uncertain. Today’s announcement brings joy to fans of the series as well as to the memory of the late actor. Upon Ekta Kapoor’s post sharing the news, actors such as Gauahar Khan, Kushal Tandon, Paras Kalnawat, and others expressed their support with red heart emojis in the comment section.
