Grammy Awards 2024: Miley Cyrus goes 'bold in gold', wears outfit made with 14,000 safety pins

The 66th edition of the most prestigious Grammy Awards recently took place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. In what is said to be the biggest night for the music industry, the events saw an impressive roster of celebrities showing up for the affair including the likes of stars like Taylor Swift, Lana Del Rey, Miley Cyrus, Gracie Abrams, Billie Eilish, and Celine Dion among others.

Among all the stand-out looks that made it to the best red carpet fashion moments from Grammy 2024, it was Miley Cyrus who was seen turning heads with her bold, dramatic look in shades of bronze and gold.

The Flowers singer showed up in a Maison Margiela gown, which seemed to have been created entirely with 14,000 gold safety pins. Inspired by John Galliano’s Fall-Winter 1996 look, the custom outfit strategically covered all the right places but also helped her tattoos to peak out. While the metallic net-like dress channelled both a 1920s flapper and an Egyptian goddess, its pins were intricately arranged to resemble a collar and other important covers. The outfit took 675 hours of meticulous work, as said by the designer.

The singer’s stylist took to Instagram and shared intricate details of her outfit. “The dress, which required 675 hours of craftsmanship, featured a painstaking arrangement of 14,000 safety pins adorned with French antique beads,” a part of the caption read.

Further, Cyrus completed her look with a pair of gold velvet yellow tabis, winged eyeliner, nude lips, and a voluminous hairdo.

Miley Cyrus bags her first-ever Grammy

The Grammy Awards 2024 turned out to be a big matter for Miley Cyrus as the singer went on to bag her first-ever Grammy for Best Pop Solo Performance for ‘Flowers‘, the lead single from her eighth studio album ‘Endless Summer Vacation’.

While receiving the award, Cyrus began by acknowledging Mariah Carey and said, “Oh my god, I just got stuck in the rain and traffic and thought I was going to miss this moment. And I could have missed the award — that’s fine — but not Mariah Carey!”

Later in the evening, she also won her second Grammy for the Record of the Year, another of Grammys’ most prestigious awards for ‘Flowers’.
