Abhishek Bachchan made his Bollywood debut with the sprawling Refugee in the year 2000 alongside another debutant Kareena Kapoor Khan. The film was a cross-border romance directed by JP Dutta. Despite a massive opening day, it was an average grosser at the box-office. Post this, Bachchan had 13 flops in a row.

The actor gave the first hit of his career in the year 2004 with Dhoom and then went on to see multiple successes like Sarkar, Bunty Aur Babli, Dus, Bluffmaster, Dhoom 2, and Guru. He tied the knot in the year 2007 with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. This came after his broken engagement with Karisma Kapoor, with whom he did Haan Maine Bhi Pyaar Kiya.

Abhishek Bachchan turned 48 on February 5 and on the occasion, Aishwarya Rai shared a heartfelt note for her husband and also a childhood picture of the actor.

When a user wrote, “Not worked for last three years but has money for vacation ! How ?” Abhishek replied, “Because, sir, I have several other businesses that I run apart from acting and producing movies. Sports being just one of them.”
