Shimla: There is a section of good news for the federal government employees of Himachal Pradesh as they experienced a five-day delay in getting their salaries in September. They will receive their salary on October 1. This information changed into shared by a state government spokesperson in Shimla on Saturday, 28 September 2024.

The state government spokesperson informed that following a review of the state treasury’s cash flow by the finance department, it has been made up our minds that the salaries for September will probably be disbursed on October 1 while pensions will probably be paid on October 9.

The spokesperson noted that the salaries for August were released on September 5 and pensions on September 10, reflecting the federal government’s commitment to utilizing financial resources judiciously.

He had also said that borrowing from the market at 7.5 per cent interest to meet salary payments on the first day of each and every month will probably be deferred to avoid wasting about Rs three crore every month, amounting to Rs 36 crore yearly in interest payments.

The choice to free up the salaries for September changed into made after reviewing the state’s financial situation, with consideration for employees who've Equated Monthly Installments (EMI) scheduled for the first of the month, CM Sukhu had said.
