Huge rock band signs for longer Las Vegas Strip Sphere residency

Sphere Entertainment's Sphere Las Vegas debuted with star rock band U2's Forty-show U2/UV Achtung Baby Reside at the Sphere residency in September 2023 and brought the first of many spectacular technological presentations to the fresh venue's stage.

The Sphere continued to book star entertainers within the 18,600-seat venue, that allows you to hold a 20,000 standing capacity, after U2 completed its residency. The Sphere welcomed jam band Phish for a brief engagement with four shows in April, and followed those shows with Grateful Dead spinoff band Dead & Company, which scheduled 30 shows at the Las Vegas Sphere from May sixteen through Aug. 10, 2024.

U2 will likely record more music and embark on more concert tours, but the success of its Sphere residency is more likely to prompt the band to sign on for another residency within the next couple of years.

Phish continues touring and has booked a four-night New Year's Eve holiday engagement Dec. 28-31, 2024, at New York's Madison Square Garden. A ticket request period ends Oct. 7, Noon, Eastern time at Phish.com. Do not be surprised if Phish in due course plays another limited engagement at the Sphere.

Dead & Company completed its final concert tour at Oracle Park in San Francisco on July sixteen, 2023, and is now not expected to tour again, but a return to the Sphere after a a success 30-show residency is expected by many.

The Eagles, which has been performing farewell tours since its "Farewell 1 Tour" in 2003, said it wrapped up its touring career with a show on its "Long Goodbye" tour within the Netherlands on June 15, 2024.

The band's fans have heard in regards to the band's touring retirement plans for over two decades and quite various are skeptical about whether the band is now not touring.

Fans have good reason to question whether the band will ever in point of fact retire, because the band's late singer/guitarist Glenn Frey rejected the notion that they were retiring on Farewell 1, at some point of a 2005 show in Sacramento, by saying, "Within the event it's possible you will be payin', we're playin'."

The Eagles add more shows to Sphere residency

Legendary rock band The Eagles is settling into its home at Sphere Entertainment's (SPHR) Sphere Las Vegas as it has signed on for four more shows on its residency, stretching it out to 24 shows.

The band added shows to its Eagles Reside at Sphere residency on Feb. 14, 15, 21, and 22, 2025.

Artist, Official Platinum and VIP Package presales start off Oct. eight at 10 a.m. Pacific time at Ticketmaster.com. Reside Nation and SiriusXM presales start off Oct. 10 at 10 a.m. Pacific.

Tickets go on sale to the overall public, starting from $127.50 to $318.50, on Oct. 11 at 10 a.m. Pacific.

The Eagles and the Sphere on June thirteen unveiled the original eight shows of the residency for September and October after which on June 18 added four more shows in November. The band on June 26 added another four shows in December and in July added four more shows in January.

The Eagles performed their first four shows on Sept. 20-21, 27-28. The rest weekend shows currently on sale consist of Oct. 11-12, 18-19, Nov. 1-2, eight-9, Dec. 6-7, thirteen-14, 2024, Jan. 17-18 and 24-25, 2025.
