We’re in the home stretch of Amazon’s October Prime Day, aka Prime Big Deal Days, and if you haven’t yet made a purchase yet and you have an iPhone—any model—I have a recommendation that shouldn’t be skipped.

No matter if you have the latest iPhone 15 Plus, a 12 Mini, or an iPhone 14, there comes a time when your iPhone will eventually deliver a low power warning, or worse, strike 0 when you need it most. The solution? Well, it could be to remember to charge your phone, but having a battery pack is a good fail-safe.

One of my favorites, Anker’s 622 Magnetic Battery, is 43% off at just $40 in five colors thanks to Amazon's October Prime Day (you have to be a Prime member to access the deal, but you can sign up here). And the Anker battery is unlike other portable chargers you're probably familiar with because it does a little bit extra. It snaps to the back of any MagSafe capable iPhone (an iPhone 12 or newer) to wirelessly charge, but you can also hardwire in via a USB-C port on the side. It even has a built-in kickstand, which equals a ton of value.

It’s been my personal carry for day trips and week-long ones, a device that I ensure is fully charged before leaving the house as it can help refuel my iPhone mid-day or when it is super-low.

Inside the solid build is a 5,000mAh lithium-ion battery, enough to keep your iPhone going. For an iPhone 15 Pro Max, I’ve found that it can provide a bit over 50%. However, speeds do vary from wireless charging to wired.

When it’s snapped onto the back of your MagSafe iPhone, it will charge at up to 7.5 watts, but it will go a bit faster when you charge via a cable. For an iPhone, that’s USB-C to USB-C, which comes included in the box of the 622 battery. For older iPhones, you’ll need to USB-C to Lightning—either way, it’s a simple plug-and-play solution.

Another key benefit is that this battery pack isn’t massive and can easily be tossed in a pant pocket, a bag, or a backpack. Heck, it even fits in the pocket of a button-down shirt. It’s just half an inch thick, so it doesn’t add crazy thickness to the back of your iPhone.

You can also flip out the kickstand to give your hand a rest when it’s attached to a MagSafe iPhone. Maybe the best part, though, aside from the actual charging, is that a 24-month warranty from Anker backs it—so if something goes wrong, they’ll swap it out.

So yes, if you have an iPhone, there’s much to say about Anker’s 622 Magnetic Battery. But the most important thing is that it’s the best time to get one as it’s down to just $40 on Amazon, and Prime members get free, fast shipping.

If you aren’t sold on this one, I’m also sharing a few of my other favorite iPhone accessories.
