IPL 2023 Points Table, Orange and Purple Cap list: DC remain bottom of standings despite win over GT

Delhi Capitals (DC) scripted an incredible comeback against Gujarat Titans (GT) in Match 44 of the Indian Premier League’s (IPL) 2023 season, winning a low-scoring affair by five runs in Ahmedabad.

Gujarat Titans (GT) currently occupy top spot with 12 points from nine matches despite the defeat. Delhi Capitals, meanwhile, remain at the bottom with just six points from nine matches following their win on Tuesday.

DC had won the toss and opted to bat. But, the visitors might have regretted the decision to do so, after they were restricted to 23/5 at one stage. But two 50-plus partnerships, both involving half-centurion Aman Khan, took DC to 130.

In reply, GT endured a similar start, being 32/4 at one stage, but Hardik Pandya (59*) and Abhinav Manohar (26) scripted a fightback. Rahul Tewatia (20 off seven balls) was at his usual best, but GT eventually fell short in the end.

GT, RR, LSG and CSK are the current top four teams but that in all likelihood can change several times over the next two weeks.

Here’s a look at the updated IPL 2023 points table after LSG vs RCB:
