Nita Ambani, Founder-Chairperson of Reliance Foundation, celebrated her 60th birthday on Wednesday by personally serving more than 3,000 underprivileged school-going children at an ‘Anna Seva’ in Mumbai.

Children enjoyed an evening of entertainment and gifts.

Nita Ambani has often said that children and women are closest to her heart.

At the her birthday celebration with underprivileged children, Nita Ambani was pictured shaking hands with students and cutting a huge birthday cake with them.

The events of the day evoked the spirit of service reflecting Nita Ambani’s dedication and commitment to passionately serve the community and the nation. Through the years under her leadership, Reliance Foundation has reached over 71 million lives.

A statement by Reliance Foundation said on the occasion of Nita Ambani’s 60th birthday, Anna Seva for 1.4 lakh people was carried out across India. In across 15 states of the country, hot cooked meals were served to communities and dry ration kits were distributed to people.

Nita Ambani, an educationist, philanthropist, businesswoman, patron of arts and sports, and champion of women and children’s rights, has always been seeking to empower millions of Indians with resources and opportunities.

Known as the first lady of Indian business, Nita Ambani has created her own identity. Also, she is the first Indian woman to be elected as a member of the International Olympic Committee.

Nita Ambani is also the first Indian to be on the board of trustees of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.

She is also the founder of an inclusive, collaborative, interactive digital movement called ‘Her Circle’ that works for women empowerment in India.

Nita Ambani is also the founder and chairperson of Dhirubhai Ambani International School, which was established in the year 2003 in Mumbai, and imparts world-class educational opportunities. She is also the founder and chairperson of the recently inaugurated Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre in Mumbai.
