‘Unreal Batting’: KL Rahul After Sunrisers Hyderabad Demolish Lucknow Super Giants By 10 Wickets

New Delhi: Lucknow Super Giants captain KL Rahul lavished praise on Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head after they chased down 165 runs in just 9.4 overs to beat LSG in match 57 of Indian Premier League 2024 which was played at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

Head (89 not out, 30b) and Abhishek (75 not out, 28b) pummelled LSG bowlers for their stand for the opening wicket and raced past the target of 166 in just 9.4 overs.

SRH is at number three in the table with seven wins, five losses and 14 points. LSG is at the sixth spot with six wins, six losses and 12 points.

“I am lost for words. We have watched that kind of batting on tv. But this is unreal batting. Everything seemed to find the middle of the bat. Kudos to their skills. They have worked hard on their six hitting skills. They didn’t give us a chance to know what the pitch played in the second innings. Was hard to stop them as they teed off from ball one. Once you are on the losing side, there are questions marks on the decisions taken. We were 40-50 runs short” said KL Rahul in post-match conference.

KL Rahul also hailed Ayush Badoni and Nicholas Pooran for their unbeaten 99 runs partnership which helped LSG to score 165 runs.

“When we lost wickets in the powerplay, we couldn’t get any momentum. Ayush and Nicky batted well to get us to 166. But even if we would have got 240, they could have chased it as well” KL Rahul added.
