Olympic Madalist Manu Bhaker meets BSF Jawans and witnesses beating retreat parade at Wagah border

New Delhi: Manu Bhaker, an Indian shooting superstar who won two bronze medals on the Paris Olympics 2024 attended the Wagah Border retreat ceremony Friday evening. At some stage within the ceremony, she interacted with Border Security Force (BSF) personnel, praising their efforts and receiving a warm welcome from BSF officials. Manu Bhaker said she had heard a lot about this iconic site where the borders of India and Pakistan meet.

When she attended the beating retreat parade she wrote on X (Formerly Twitter),  “It became a profound honour to fulfill our courageous BSF jawans on the Wagah Border. Witnessing the spectacular Beating Retreat parade became an unforgettable experience. My heartfelt attributable to BSF for the gracious honour and warm reception on the Wagah Border I salute these valiant soldiers who steadfastly guard our nation’s frontiers. Jai Hind!”
